As the world watches the Islamic State group's brutal persecution of Christians in Syria and Iraq, the danger to Lebanese Christians is frequently overlooked.

Now, a demographic influx of Muslim refugees from neighboring countries is threatening the political balance that ensures the existence of this ancient Christian community.

Father Paul Karam, a Maronite priest who serves as president of Caritas Lebanon, visited New York this week to speak with United States officials about the humanitarian crisis in his country. The message is dire: the delicate balance of religious diversity that protects Lebanese Christians is on the verge of collapse.

ISIS Just Recruited The Chinese, How They Did It Sent Chills Down My Spine

Chinese citizens have now joined the Islamic State. Radicals from XinJiang have joined the terror group to undergo training in Iraq, Syria, and other places within Asia. Global Times Newspaper, which is a communist-ran media venue, reported it earlier this week. Xinjiang is a region in China that is home to the ‘Uyghurs’. They are largely populated by muslims who’s freedoms have been restricted to an extreme degree in an adequate response to a string of deadly attacks.

By announcing that citizens of China have joined ISIS, the country is expressing fears that the violent Middle East threat are ever present and imminent.

China has not offered any assistance to America against ISIS and it’s reaction the chaos in Syria & Iraq was to only withdraw it’s citizens. Chinese replied with a statement that was quite obvious and routine. They said that they do not interfere with the affairs of other nations. China, after that, may now face pressure to get more involved in these efforts against ISIS.

UK Muslim leaders demand that Cameron call the Islamic State the “Un-Islamic State”

“Using the group’s preferred name could help it radicalise yet more Britons, the signatories wrote.” So apparently they would have us believe that David Cameron calling the Islamic State “the Islamic State” will make young Muslims in Britain think that it is an Islamic State, and that they must go wage jihad on its behalf. And that makes sense, since David Cameron is such a renowned imam, his word on Islam commands singular respect among Muslims.

But what are the Islamic Society of Britain, New Horizons in British Islam, the Association of British Muslims and the Association of Muslim Lawyers doing to teach young Muslims that the Islamic State’s understanding of Islam is wrong? Are they taking any steps at all in that direction, or are all their efforts aimed at keeping the kuffar ignorant and complacent?

FROM CAIN TO ISIS

The radical Islamic movement ISIS is more radical than Islamic. It is true, of course, that this group’s vision of a restored caliphate in the Middle East, like its other ambitions, only makes sense in an Islamic context. But its methods—ruthless violence and criminality, grandiose goals framed in world-historical terms, leadership cadres regularly purged to ensure purity, and bloody public spectacles—are familiar elements of the modern European experience of radical politics.

The head of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, may have a beard rather than Hitler’s toothbrush mustache, but the two share similar paths to radicalism. Hitler’s radical politics developed in the aftermath of World War I when Germany experienced a decade of political instability that included paramilitary violence. After a failed putsch in Munich, he was put in prison. There he refined his ideology and rededicated himself to the service of what he imagined to be the Great Cause that would redeem not just Germany but the human race. After his release, he became a remarkably effective leader of a movement that promised to put an end to disorder (much of it created by his own paramilitary wing), restore Germany’s dignity, and destroy all that threatened the purity of the German race.

We don’t know much about Baghdadi, but what we do know follows the same pattern. Apparently, the chaos after our 2003 invasion of Iraq encouraged him to form a militant group. He was captured by U.S. troops in 2005 and spent four years in prison, where he apparently met and came to work with Al-Qaeda militants. After his release, he fought as part of an Al-Qaeda cell in Iraq. As its leaders were killed off, he assumed control. When Syria exploded in a civil war, his group entered. Soon it had built itself into an organization able to claim sovereignty over a significant portion of Syria and Iraq—all for the sake of restoring true Islam to its dignity and with a brutal determination to purge Muslim society of its impurities.
